Seeking normality is the ultimate sacrifice of potential

I've heard this from a young girl whose brothers are autistic...and I believe she is right. Unfortunately there are so many of us that spend a lifetime in trying ' to fit-in ' , in trying to be that ' normal ' we all think we need to be..

Iceland .. out of this world

Iceland for me personally was an amazing experience. I don't even know where to start to describe it.. to begin with..since I walked down the plane and headed towards Reykjavik
I had the feeling I landed on the Moon...not too many people, many rocks, dark ...it's just a unusual atmosphere all around.
The people have something different about them..they are direct but friendly, funny, honest and welcoming..they seem relaxed and helpful. Just to give you a bit of an idea..imagine I was running to catch the bus to take to the airport when I realised I had lost the tickets..so I just
went to the lady there and explained the situation briefly..and she just gave the new tickets without questioning or doubting anything..for me that says a lot about the people there..and it says good things.

I went to Blue Lagoon like any other classic tourist would do..and again the feeling I had was out of this world..staying in warm water (even hot in some areas of the pool) and just having a grey sky above, surrounded by rocks and with 3 degrees Celsius outside..made me think I am in a kind of The Truman show movie..
I didn't get a chance to see the Northern Lights but I have many moments are dear to me from this trip !  The Lights will have to wait for the next year  !

Wow...the airline..and the feeling !

My first time with WOW Air gave me what they promise...to make you smile..this is one of their goals and they really work for it.
They really got my attention while presenting the safety measures on board. This is the part where I don't always pay attention, though I know I should . This time I was not paying attention until I heard ..' You will see something like a yellow cupcake falling...referring actually to the oxygen masks.. ' so i realised this will be worth listening to. Soon enough I was right .. I hear ' if you are travelling with someone that needs assistance like a child or someone that acts like a child..then please put first the oxygen mask on yourself and then offer your help. '  How funny is that ? To me it was...
Now...besides the small jokes while doing the safety training...the whole atmosphere on board was really friendly and relaxed and the crew was all the time smiling and happy to listen and help. This doesn't happen too often and actually with the big legendary carriers you feel they are more doing you a favour already just for flying so no other wishes are allowed on board ... Isn't it ironic ? Sometimes you pay more to get less ?

And..one more thing I almost forgot about..the paper bag in case you get sick looks like this :
